* Note, we are currently experiencing an issue where the website might get stuck in a login loop.  If you get stuck in a redirect loop while trying to access myTAYLOR, the work-around is to hit the stop (X) button on the browser, and then navigate to https://my.taylor.edu from the same browser, and the website should log in correctly.

Your User ID and password info is listed on your hard copy award letter and included in email correspondence with you. Your User ID includes numbers only, no letters. If you are unable to locate your User ID or password, please contact the Financial Aid office at 765.998.5358.

  1. Click LOG IN at top right of page and login using your Taylor University Email Address and Password

TOUCHNET - STUDENT INSTRUCTIONS (Adding an authorized parent or guardian for student account)

  1. Follow the TOUCHNET link in myTAYLOR
  2. Login using your Taylor University Email Address and Password
  3. Click on Authorized Users at the top of the page.
  4. Click on Add Authorized User
  5. Enter the authorized user’s information and click Continue
  6. Check the box to agree with the terms and click Continue
  7. The authorized user should receive two email messages. The first will contain their username (email account). The second email will contain their temporary password and the link they will use to log into TouchNet the first time.

*PLEASE NOTE: If the parent / guardian has multiple students, and wishes to see all of the records under one account, the student must create the Authorized User using the same email address used previously by the parent / guardian.

TOUCHNET - PARENT INSTRUCTIONS

  1. At the TouchNet log in page ( https://www.taylor.edu/paymybill ), the authorized user will enter their email address and the temporary password that was sent to them.
  2. After logging in, the authorized user will need to update their profile information and enter a new password.
  3. Click Save to record the changes.

TOWER – STUDENT INSTRUCTIONS – Providing parent or guardian proxy access to academic information.

Introduction - Taylor University’s TOWER Proxy provides your parent or guardian on-line access to your academic information. TOWER Proxy gives you, the student, complete control of the process and allows you to authorize anyone with a valid e-mail address on-line access to your academic information.

FERPA NOTICE - You, the student, control who is designated as a proxy. You also choose what information your proxy can access. Designating someone proxy privileges will not be interpreted by Taylor University as providing a FERPA release allowing the university to share additional private student information. If you wish to grant permission to the university to share private information with an individual, such as a parent, a signed FERPA release must be on file in the Registrar’s Office - available online here.

Add your Emergency Contacts

  1. Click on the TOWER Personal Information link
  2. Locate the Emergency Contact section
  3. Click on the Add New button to add your Emergency Contacts
    • * When entering in a phone number, please use just numeric characters.  Do not use hyphens, parentheses, spaces or any other characters.
    • * Do not enter anything into the phone number extension field.

Creating a proxy

  1. Click on the TOWER Student Parent Proxy link.
  2. Click on the Add Proxy link
  3. Fill in the First Name, Last Name and Email address for the new proxy
  4. After adding a proxy, select the relationship role (Parent or Legal Guardian), and enter a description for the individual.
  5. Move to the Authorization tab and select the information you wish the individual to access. Click on a box to grant access to that area of information. You do not need to Save; just check the box.
  6. You have completed the necessary steps to create a proxy account for your parent or guardian. Your proxy will receive an e-mail notifying them that the account has been created. The e-mail will provide them with a username (their e-mail address) and a temporary PIN/Password as well as a link for them to complete the registration/authentication process and reset the temporary PIN.

* Steps 4 and 5 must be completed in order for the proxy to be able to setup their account.

TOWER – PARENT INSTRUCTIONS – Providing parent or guardian proxy access to academic information.

FERPA NOTICE - Your student controls who is designated as a proxy and what information the individual can see. Designating an individual proxy privileges will not be interpreted by Taylor University as providing a FERPA release allowing the university to share additional private student information. In order for the university to share private information with you as a parent or guardian, your student must have a signed FERPA release on file in the Registrar’s Office.

Establishing an account ( Tower Parent Proxy Website )

  1. Your student must first create a TOWER Proxy account using your valid e-mail address.
  2. When the account is created, you will receive an e-mail with authentication instructions.
  3. Click on the link provided. The following web page will open in your default browser. Enter the temporary PIN provided by the e-mail. Click the “Submit” button. 
    * NOTE: You will be able to click on the provided link only ONCE. If you happen to close your browser before completing the process, you will need your student to reset your PIN which will generate another message allowing you to complete the process.
  4. You will be asked to reset your temporary PIN. To do this, enter your e-mail address used to create the account and enter the temporary PIN (sent to you in the e-mail) as the Old PIN. Create and enter a new PIN. Enter the new PIN in the “Validate PIN” field. Click “Save.”
  5. After resetting your PIN, you will be directed to the TOWER Proxy Access page. You will need to update the required information before accessing your student’s information. This includes: Mailing address, City, State, Country.
  6. If you have more than one student at Taylor who has authorized you to access their information and they have added proxy access using the same email address, all of the names will appear across the page. To access your student’s on-line academic information, click on their name.
  7. Click on the link to view the information listed. A new window will open with that information.
  8. When you are finished viewing the information, close the browser window or click EXIT. You will be returned to the TOWER Proxy Access Home.

Tower - Parent Troubleshooting:

If a parent logs into Tower Proxy and only sees the following fields then the student will need to complete steps 4 and 5 in the “TOWER – STUDENT INSTRUCTIONS - Creating a proxy” section above.


Microsoft Office - https://www.office.com

Taylor University provides each student with access to Microsoft Office 365.

  1. Login using your Taylor University Email Address and Password
  2. Use the drop-down option in the upper right-hand area of the page to Install the Microsoft Office 365 apps.
