Brightspace - Basic Navigation

You can access your Brightspace account by going to https://taylor.brightspace.com/ and also by downloading the user-friendly “Brightspace Pulse” mobile app.

Navigating Brightspace (browser):

After logging into Brightspace using your Taylor Login, you will land on the home page where there are two ways to find your courses: through the Course Selector (waffle) icon or the My Courses Widget. View Navigate Brightspace and find your course for further assistance.

Overview of Brightspace Tools:

Choose a course by following the instructions above and visit the Course homepage to familiarize yourself with its layout and navigation. There are various tools that you have access to within your course. The list below outlines visual tours of many (but not all) of the tools that Brightspace offers Learners:

• For the Announcements tool, access Announcements - Brightspace. 
• View Content experiences to learn how to navigate Content within your course.  
• For direct access to your Assignments, Discussions, Quizzes, Self-Assessments, and Surveys, click the “Activities and Assessments” dropdown within your course.  You may also find that your instructor has put these in the content area of the course. 
  • To learn how to navigate Discussions, view Discussions. 
  • To learn how to navigate Quizzes, view Quizzes. 
  • To learn how to navigate Assignments, view Assignments.
• To find your course Checklist, Class Progress, and Grades, select the “Progress” dropdown within your course.

• To learn more about the Media Library tool, access Media Library.  
• Review Calendar to learn how to navigate your course calendar.
