How to Map a Network to Taylor Shared Files - University Common (macOS)

Connecting to the Server/ File Network Share:

  1. Open Finder and click Go on the top left of the screen, as it is a tab. > Click Connect to Server
    1. Shortcut > click the background of the desktop > Type/Click Command + K
  2. Type the path of the network drive you are mapping, (example: smb://filesrv.campus.tayloru.edu/UniversityCommon)
  3. After typing, please click the + to add this as a shortcut for you 
  4. Click Connect
  5. Note: You might have to sign in with your Taylor Credentials
  6. You should be good to go after connecting to the network!
  7. If you do not see the folder, please create a ticket and mention it to the Help Desk to see if you have the right permissions to access the folder needed.

Note: If you are off campus, please connect to Taylor's VPN.
