TUAlert System

Taylor University uses a mass notification system called TUAlert to notify the campus if there is a significant emergency or dangerous situation occurring on campus that involves an immediate threat to the health or safety of students or employees. Please follow the instructions below if you have a TU username and password to receive important emergency alerts.

If you do not have a TU username and password and would like to receive important emergency alerts, please scroll to the end of this document to follow instructions for how to sign up for TU Alert via “Self Enrollment”. 

  1. Click this link to log in: https://taylor.app.regroup.com 
  2. Click the “TU LOGIN” tile and log in using your TU username/password if prompted.
  3. Scroll down to the “CONTACT INFORMATION” section to add your email(s) and number(s). We strongly recommend you add multiple emails and numbers (SMS and Call) because the system will only be used for emergency situations. You do not need to put your mailing address in the final section at the bottom of this page!
  4. Click on the “Continue” Tile at the bottom left of the page.
  5. On the next page, you can subscribe to ADDITIONAL alerts. We currently only have the NOAA Severe Thunderstorm Warning – Grant County as an additional subscription but there may be more added as time goes on.
  6. Adding subscriptions to your account: Under "OTHER SUBSCRIPTIONS": Click "Subscribe" for other channels you would like to receive alerts for (i.e.  NOAA Severe Thunderstorm Warning - Grant County and NOAA Tornado Watch - Grant County). Please note everyone will automatically receive notifications of Tornado Warnings.
  7. Under “MY SUBSCRIPTIONS”: under “Email,” “SMS,” and “Call/Voice” toggle which emails and numbers the notifications should be sent to. Under “Email Frequency” toggle when you want emails to be sent.
  8. Click “Finish Signup” in the bottom right corner to complete your signup!

Note: A full test of the system is done at the start of each semester to ensure you can receive the TUAlerts.

Self-Enrollment

If you would like to receive important emergency notifications via TUAlert and you do not have a TU username or password (i.e. campus vendors, Upland community members, visitors, etc.). Please follow these instructions:

Send a text message to the number 31002

In the text message, type: Join tuEmergencyAlerts

Once you send that text message, you should get some messages back confirming your subscription and giving you next steps.
