Issues with Blackboard and Safari

If you are experiencing authentication issues with Blackboard while using Safari, you may see the following popup when attempting to access documents or 3rd party tools with Blackboard:

Please check the settings in Safari to make sure the “Prevent Cross Site tracking” option is turned off.  When this option is enabled, it kills the communication required for alternative domains and for any 3rd party tools to correctly negotiate authentication.

Steps to turn off the setting:

1. On the Safari Menu bar, select Safari → Preferences
2. Click on the “Privacy” tab
3. Make sure the “Prevent cross-site tracking” checkbox is not checked.
