My Mac is connecting to Taylor ________automatically... How to Forget a Network on a Mac

If you are automatically connecting to Taylor _____ and not Taylor University or Taylor Secure Wifi:

  1. Go to the Wifi Button on the top right of your desktop screen
    1. Alternative: Go to Settings > Go to System Preferences > Go to Network
  2. Go to Network Preferences…
  3. Click Advanced on the bottom right 
  4. In the Wifi Tab, search for Taylor ____
  5. Click Taylor ____, as it should show up in blue 
  6. Click the minus sign (-)
  7. Click ok

To Add a Network Back:

  1. Please click on the Wifi you would like to connect to and please put in your credentials, e.g. Taylor Credentials. 
  2. Hopefully, you should be connected. 
  3. To check if your device is registered: Go to packetfence.campus.tayloru.edu

To forget the network that you're currently using:

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings.
  2. Click Wi-Fi in the sidebar.
  3. Click Details next to the network you're using.
  4. Click Forget This Network, then click Remove to confirm.

To forget a network that you've joined before but aren't currently using:

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings.
  2. Click Wi-Fi in the sidebar.
  3. Scroll down on the right and click Advanced to see the networks known to your Mac.
  4. Click the more buttonnext to the network, choose Remove From List, then click Remove to confirm.
