Printing from Macs

To print from a University owned Mac, you need three things:

  1. PaperCut application running
  2. Your department account code
  3. Proper print queues installed

1. PaperCut application running
Without PaperCut's software ("PCClient") running no print jobs will release through the print server. PCClient should always be visible in the menu bar. Printing will not work if this software is not running.

If it is not running, it can be launched via Finder or LaunchPad

2. Enter your department print code when printing

If using a Konica copier/MFP, you will always be prompted to enter a billing code:

This is not a requirement for printing to department printers (smaller HP printers) as those supplies are purchased by the department already.

3. Proper print queues installed
If you attempt to print from applications and don't have CampusSecurePrint or other printers you expect to use, you likely need to have additional printers added to your Mac. Please contact Helpdesk or see this article.
