How do I clear my web browser cache?

The cache is where a browser temporarily stores recently downloaded web pages. Though the cache significantly increases the speed of accessing a specific web page, it can sometimes cause glitches. Follow the steps below to clear the cache in a specific browser: 
 
Chrome

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. In the top right corner of the page, select the icon showing three vertical dots. Select Settings.
  3. Under the heading Privacy and Security, select the first option titled, Clear Browsing Data.
  4. Under Basic, change the Time Range to All Time.
  5. Ensure all three boxes are checked and click Clear Data.

 
Firefox

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. In the top right corner of the page, select the icon showing three horizontal lines. Select Options.
  3. Select the Privacy and Security tab on the left.
  4. Under Cookies and Site Data, click Clear Data.
  5. Uncheck Cookies and Site Data and check Cached Web Content.
  6. Click on Clear.

 

Edge  (new version)

  1. In the top right corner of the page, select the icon showing three vertical dots. Select Settings.
  2. Under Settings on the left, click on Privacy and Services.
  3. In the right window, beside Clear browsing data now, under Clear browsing data, click on Choose what to clear.
  4. Set Time range to All time , uncheck Cookies and other site data, and click on Clear now.

Internet Explorer

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Select Tools (the gear icon). Select Safety and then Delete Browsing History.
  3. Uncheck Preserve Favorites Website Data and check Temporary Internet Files and Cookies.
  4. Click Delete on the bottom of the window.

 
Safari (Mac Users)

  1. Open Safari.
  2. Click Safari in the upper left side of the screen. Select Preferences.
  3. Click on Advanced and check the box at the bottom for Show Develop menu in menu bar.
  4. Click on Develop which is now available in the Menu bar at the top and click on Empty Caches.
