How do I clear my web browser cache, cookies, and other site data?

Cache and cookies are where a browser temporarily stores recently downloaded web pages and other site-related information (including authentication). Though they significantly increase the speed and usability for accessing web content, they can sometimes cause glitches.  If you encounter such glitches, first try restarting your browser.  If your issues persist, follow the steps below to clear stored data for your specific browser:

Chrome

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. In the top right corner of the page, select the icon showing three vertical dots. Select Settings.
  3. Under the heading Privacy and Security, select the first option titled, Clear Browsing Data.
  4. Under Basic, change the Time Range to All Time.
  5. Ensure all three boxes are checked and click Clear Data.

Firefox

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. In the top right corner of the page, select the icon showing three horizontal lines. Select Settings
  3. Select the Privacy & Security tab on the left.
  4. Under Cookies and Site Data, click Clear Data.
  5. Check Cookies and Site Data and Cached Web Content.
  6. Click on Clear.

Edge

  1. In the top right corner of the page, select the icon showing three vertical dots. Select Settings.
  2. Under Settings on the left, click on Privacy, search, and services.
  3. In the right window, beside Clear browsing data now, under Clear browsing data, click on Choose what to clear.
  4. Set Time range to All time , check Cookies and other site data, and click on Clear now.

Safari (Mac Users)

  1. Open Safari.
  2. Click Safari in the upper left side of the screen. Select Preferences.
  3. Click on Advanced and check the box at the bottom for Show Develop menu in menu bar.
  4. Click on Develop which is now available in the Menu bar at the top and click on Empty Caches.
